Wat Promrangsi (district Don Muang) วัดพรหมรังษี (เขตดอนเมือง)

Wat Promrangsi (district Don Muang) วัดพรหมรังษี (เขตดอนเมือง)

I spotted the chedi from a distance when I drove past on Thanon Song Phrapa. Then I made a visit (from IT square local song theo to Wat Weluwanaram วัดเวฬุวนาราม = Wat Pai Keao วัดไผ่เขียว, from there walking 1.7 km about 20 minutes). The wat is in a rural area, chicken and dogs were running around and we (ChristianPFC and a Thai friend) were the only visitors. The architecture is unique amongst the wats I have seen so far.

  1. 1.diese Gebaude scheint mir eher im Stil wie eine Plattenbau ausm Osten.
(ab Don MUang gibt es viele songhthaew linien mehr in dieses Gebiet).
2.have you been to the area very close by Saranrom where they make/renovate all those Buddha-statues? Around Sao Ching Cha/BKk-City Hall. Then you suddenly get another view on how art/tasteful they are made.

  2. I have been to the area (during day and at night) where Buddha statues are made and/or sold, the big ones are left outside over night, too heavy for being stolen (and who would steal a Buddha statue - bad karma).
