Marian plum now in season
Begin of March, I first came across มะปราง má bpraang / มะยงชิด má-yong chít. Two names for the same fruit? In English marian plum.

Picture from the internet:
They taste like plum, but are expensive compared to other Thai fruit and not soft and sweet when harvested and sold. I paid 70 Baht for a bag with 12 fruit. They didn't make it on my list of fruit I regularly eat.
