Dating Thai boys (28) Name card case studies

Dating Thai boys (28) Name card case studies

Continuation from http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2014/12/dating-thai-boys-23-handing-out-my.html

End of 2014
There is a Lao boy B who works as waiter and a Lao boy D who works in a shop, both about 15 minutes walk from my place. After smiling at and chatting with each other, I hand out my phone number.

Give name card to B. No call, but a week later he asks for my phone number and facebook. (He is the one who officially works 12 hours per day, but in practice from 6 am to midnight.)

Give name card to D. Calls the same day, but we cannot meet immediately.

For both boys, I found conversation on phone or Line was not forthcoming (often I can't reach them at all), best is to go to see them in person!

November 2014:
On the train to Kanchanaburi, chat with a cute boy who will go for holiday in Sangklaburi and studies in Nonthaburi. Give him my name card, he doesn't call.

December 2014:
Get a free ride on mocy by a cute boy from Klong Toey slum to Klong Toey market. I give him 50 Baht and my name card and tell him to call me when/if he wants to meet again. No call yet. A friend says I should have given 100 Baht to stress that money is no issue. I wonder if it would be a good idea to rub his upper thigh or even crotch while he is driving (probably not, that's why I refrained so far), but I put my hand around his abdomen and on his chest, no objections.

December 2014:
Ogle at some cute boys at Saphan Phut market. One of them says to his friend: the Farang is gay. A bit later I have a chat with the cute boy, they ask me if I like boys or girls, and the cute boy claims to like boys as well and asks for my phone number. Then he tells me he has no money for food and for taxi back, so I give him 100 Baht. No call yet.

One thing I don't understand at all: the boys I prey on are no brain surgeons or rocket scientists. But when I freely give him 100 Baht, why doesn't he call me right the next day to ask for 200? Not the first time I encounter this situation. Are they really that stupid or have such a short memory?

On the other hand, the 100 Baht was "here and now" without anything in return. A good deal for the boy. For the 200 Bath, he would have to come to my place, and I would ask for service in return.

December 2014:
I get a call from a boy in Kanchanaburi whom I gave my phone number in November, about 7 weeks before. Even after checking my notes, I don't know who it was. Need to keep better track! But I told him I will call again when I go to Kanchanaburi in January. That will be a surprise, when/if we meet again. (Update: mystery solved. Another acquaintance called from a different number.)

December 2014:
Chat up a cute boy in Tapan Hin railway station, he is going to Phichit, so am I! When leaving the railway station (Phichit), I find a suitable moment to give him my name card. About 9 pm, he calls to say hello and tells me he is going to bed. 11 pm he calls again (from the same number), telling me he lost his phone (now calling from his uncle's phone) and asks if I can buy him a new phone. I reject this idea. The following day, we speak again on the phone twice, but can't meet. I should not have rejected the idea of buying a new phone, rather should have made some vague promises of financial support (unspecified amount), and suggest to discuss details in person in my room.

January 2015:
I walk around in Chinatown and spot three slim Blacks (two of them cute) chatting with prostitutes on the street. I even see one of the prostitutes show ten finger and hear her say "one thousand". I follow them and ask the Blacks  what they are looking for: a cheap hotel room. They come from Kenya, speak good English and will participate in a Marathon soon. We chat for a while, then we say goodbye and I give the cute boy my phone number.

An hour later, at Hua Lampong railway station with a Farang friend L who is expert in chatting up straight boys. We spot the three blacks sitting there and join them for a chat. They are still looking for a room and have no money for food. L tries to pry one loose from the group for beer, no way. L asks if they like Thai lady: they haven't tried yet (the point is that I would pay for the lady if I can watch and touch).

L is an expert, having sucked straight cock in 37 countries over the last decades (ok, I made this up, but he has much more success in Thailand than I have, and he doesn't speak Thai), and he says with the three in a group there is no way do to anything interesting.

They probably wonder what we were up to as much as we wonder what they were up to. It's a pity: they will have to sleep on the floor without dinner and we have to go home without dick. No phone call.

begin of Feb 2015
Give name card to "Suan Plu Soi 8 boy" (our paths crossed three times already, and each time he smiled at me and we had a chat - very good English). No call.

Give name card to "ice delivery boy" (our path have crossed weekly since May 2015, every time smile at each other, now finally exchange a few words, but he is busy working). No call. Update 02.03.2015: he tells me he has no mobile phone.

There is a boy in Suan Plu who works in an ice factory and smiles at me every time I walk past. This time I decide to chat him up (with my name card ready in my pocket). He is from Vietnam and doesn't speak English and only little Thai. While he always smiled when I walked past, chat is not forthcoming. This will lead nowhere, keep the card.

Sat 07.03.2015
Spot a cute boy on the way from Wat Sai (Ekkachai Soi 23) to main road. Smile and chat. I am going to Central Plaza Rama 2, and the cute boy offers me a ride. But then some elders step in, first ask for 100 Baht (which I would happily pay, to the cute boy after arrival), then 200 Baht (to pay in advance to one of the elders). Then the conversation veers off, I give the boy my name card and invite him for drinking beer, playing internet and watching TV in my room, say goodbye and take a taxi (60 Baht). No call.

Sunday 16.03.2015 Chaiyaphum
A cute waiter smiles at me when I walk past a bar, and again when I walk back the other direction. Have a drink (coke 35 Bath, stay 21:30-22:40). More smiles when he walks past. After paying, wait for a suitable moment to approach him and give him my name card and tell him I will return to Bangkok tomorrow and ask when he finishes work (11 pm). Read in my room 11-12 pm. No call.

8 no call, 2 still in negotiations (but better to see them in person, both are near my place), 2 call but leads nowhere.

I'm afraid, handing out name cards will become another chapter in my book "101 Ways how not to have sex with Thai boys".

Friends have given out their phone number and often did not get a call. In my experience, the boy calls either same or following day or never.

Special Cinema (4) Phahon Theater in Saphan Khwai

Opposite Paolo Memorial Hospital and Big C Saphan Khwai.

Entry 60 Baht.

Sunday 15.02.2015 18:21-54

Estimated 100 customers, some ladyboy prostitutes, some younger customers.

I have been before at least once (Mai 2013), quote from http://sawatdeenetwork.com/forum/post275938.html

Next to the sauna [39 underground] is a sex cinema. I went there a few weeks ago [Mai 2013] (and then continued to Saranrom, where I got assaulted [http://www.gaybuttonthai.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4238&start=12]). Entry is 60 Baht. They play normal movies. I was there about 8pm and stayed half an hour. They close at 9pm (from internet, didn’t confirm). There were about 40 customers, all Asian males, age 30-50 I would guess. The cinema is huge and was 95% empty. I witnessed several blowjobs and several other customers contacted me. It was too dark, and the little I could see was not attractive to me.

Read here for timmberty's experience:

Entrance area. The ticket counter is nice Art Deco, but someone who was lingering around didn't want me to take a picture of it, will try again next time:

Religious places near Fashion Island Ramintra 02.06.2013

For a change, a post with some pictures of interesting buildings, embedded in another tale of meetings with Thai boys that did not go so well.

I had chats on the phone with the boy (hairdresser in Lamlukka) I hooked up with in Singapore disco (former ICK now Wave Club) on 05.05.2013, but he is difficult to understand in person and on the phone it’s almost impossible to communicate. One phrase that he often repeats is “maa nee” (มานี้ – come here) OR “money”, I don’t understand the rest and can’t figure which it is (“come here” in Thai or “money”) I tried to get him to meet me at Future Rangsit, but I finally give in and take a taxi to his shop. The taxi drives past Thai National Memorial, I manage to take a picture out of the driving taxi from an elevated road:

http://www.tourismthailand.org/See-and- ... orial--101

When I left his place last time, it was by taxi so I don’t remember the way and have to call him to talk to the driver. That’s why I prefer to go by foot as often as possible: I can remember the way better. This problem will be solved by purchase of a modern mobile phone with GPS. I arrive at this shop, and while still sitting in the taxi he asks for 40 Baht (no explanation why), which I give him. He and a female get in the taxi and we continue our trip to near his place. There we have lunch and later go to Wat Thanyaphol (วัดธัญญะผล):

We take a taxi to another hairdresser’s shop. If I understand him correctly, he pays rent for his shop and wants me to buy him a shop similar to that one we went to. I was due to a haircut anyway, so I accept his suggestion that both of us get a haircut there. After that, I ask what he plans to do next. He has business in Minburi and suggests I go back to Lak Si. “What kind of business do you have in Minburi?” “Not necessary for you to know” (มีธุรกิจอะไรครับ ไม่ต้องกานรู้). I hint that I would like to go to his place or my place for some fun. Cannot. I say goodbye and walk towards the main road to get a taxi. No point both of us waiting for taxis to different directions at a little frequented side-road. And get away from him quickly before he can ask for money for his taxi to Minburi. Minutes later, I see him drive past on a motorbike. I wonder what he thought this meeting was about? Discussing details of the purchase of a hairdresser’s or beauty shop for him? I even brought some underwear I like, in case we go to his place and he hasn’t any I like. Over 3 hours (about 1 hour on taxi and 2 hours with him) and about 500 Baht spent on taxi alone (for return trip). That’s what I meant when I wrote earlier (3 month report) that it would be easier and cheaper to meet someone new.

I take a taxi back home, but to make something useful of the day I change destination to Fashion Island Ramintra (which is on the way anyway). I drove past several times and I noticed interesting buildings in the vicinity when I was in a taxi on outer ringroad.

There is a building with a spire and a large standing smiling Buddha on the roof, holding a globe in his hand. All gates and doors are open, so I just enter.

Ground floor:

Top floor:

A boy is sitting in the main hall, I ask if it’s ok to enter, he follows me all the way around. On the top floor, there are people praying and soon a lady joins me on my tour (of course I say hello to her and ask if I can walk around). Another lady joins us and invites me to sit down for a chat. It’s more a monologue, she talks to me in English about peace and happiness, with an occasional nod or “yes” from me. I guess that could have gone on for hours, so I excuse myself that I have no more time as I want to use the daylight for sightseeing. The place is called “เทียนเอินกรุงเทพ”, they have no official English name yet, but it could be “Bangkok Tian Ern Holy House”, she says. The whole idea is from China, there are inscriptions in Chinese and literature in Chinese. She invites me to come back, they have free vegetarian meals for visitors. She is very happy that I came to them.

https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=13.8 ... sz=18&z=18

At the front gate, I take a motorcycle to another place (a few km away), Wat Phrayasuren (abbreviated Wat Suren, วัด(บึง?)พระยาสุเรนทร์). I saw it when I drove past in a taxi on outer ringroad, and I saw it from a tall building 10 km away. It sticks out because it has this large white round building.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get on top, only to second floor (where you can walk around outside), as the door was locked and the person with the key was away.

View from outer ringroad:

On the way to the Wat, we drove past another interesting wat, Samma-Chanyawas (วัดสัมมาชัญญาวาส, I had to use Google streetview to get the name from the main gate!), which stuck out to me because it was entirely in brown, the video below (Thai with English subtitles) says it’s ceramic. Two places of interest identified and visited, one more added to my long list! Been there, see following post

Picture from internet:

http://www.antoni-uni-photography.com/T ... &k=NQvzLHb

I take a motorcycle back to Fashion Island and spend the rest of the evening there, until they close at 9pm.

Buy 2, get 1, an offer that is hard to resists (In Thai it says: Buy two, get one free.)!

Van back to my place. Nothing interesting on gayromeo, so I decide to go to DJ-station. Taxi 00:23-00:42am, 140 Baht, cheapest and fastest so far. Why do they only have Heineken and Singha beer? I wanted to try Chang, but so it’s water for me. Where do they get their music from? They are playing always the same horrible stuff. There is better music around, e.g. on the radio that my colleagues have at work. I walk through DJ-station, the first few rounds did not show anyone interesting, but then it gets better.

Sidenote: on second floor they had a problem with condensation of water in the aircon. The aircon outlet next to the stairwell to third floor gives off a mist of fine droplets. After a few beer, you probably wouldn’t notice the fine droplets of water in the air any more. I noticed this when I stood near the bar. So I investigated where they come from and found a puddle of water under the outlet, almost slipped (flip-flops on wet tiles)!

On ground floor, there is a guy dancing shirtless on the stage, and he is smiling at me. Great body, I can live with that tattoo, face is ok. He then comes down to chat with me. Good English. He opens my zipper and puts his hand into my trousers, finally in my underwear. I don’t get hard under these circumstances (loud music, public place). I tell him that we can go to his place for more. He lives in Sathorn and has a room for himself. We leave about 2 am and take a taxi to his room. (On a previous visit, I had hooked up at 1am, but my new found friend wanted to dance, so I had to wait for him until 3am, and there was even the chance that he might get too drunk or change his mind about going with me.)

He pays the taxi fare (good start!). In his room, he finally divulges that he works in a bar, in Soi Twilight, and that he is a moneyboy and asks how much I can pay him. From my previous posts you know that my standards (morals, ethics) are pretty low, but here I have to draw a line: that’s way too late to ask for money, I will not pay tonight, and we part as just friends. He used to work in Classic Boys and remembers me from there (must have been April), but now he works somewhere else (he didn’t say where: “expensive, top secret!”).

An easy choice for me: nobody is perfect, I didn’t like that little moustache, his skin was partially too cold (i.e. only about half of the area had the temperature I like), his trousers were a bit too low (thereby leaving a bulge of flesh above the belt), and I couldn’t see what kind of underwear he was wearing. With perfect skin temperature and underwear, I would have agreed to pay, but I’m jaded, I have to stop going with moneyboys. I forgot to ask for phone number and gayromeo account name. Now I wonder: If he hadn’t seen me whoring around in Soi Twilight, would he have gone with me for free? A legitimate question: How do you explain to a boy who goes with you for free that you pay prostitutes, but not him? The easiest way to solve this is to stop going with moneyboys.

That (the late disclosure that he is a moneyboy) reminds me of a joke I read recently (in German language, found the English version on the internet):

A young man and his date were parked on a back road some distance from town. They were about to have sex when the girl stopped.
"I really should have mentioned this earlier, but I'm actually a hooker and I charge $20 for sex." The man reluctantly paid her, and they did their thing.
After a cigarette, the man just sat in the driver's seat looking out the window. "Why aren't we going anywhere?" asked the girl.
"Well, I should have mentioned this before, but I'm actually a taxi driver, and the fare back to town is $25..."
On a previous visit to DJ-station, I took a moneyboy from second floor. After a few sentences, he mentioned that he is a moneyboy. Then I asked him if he is free and can come with me. He replied “I am thinking.” He almost lost me at that point. It was about 2:30 am, there were not many customers on a weekeday, so I was his last chance and I expected him to jump at this occasion, and not to hesitate. He then asked for 1000 Bath for long time which is a very reasonable offer, so we went to my place and had a good time.

On my way back to Lak Si, I notice available ladies east of Lumpini Park (I noticed them north and west before) around 2:35 am. Current trips: ladies around Lumpini park at night

I will give us (lamlukka hairdresser) one more chance. When I have a new phone, we can communicate by SMS in Thai. That hopefully reduces misunderstandings (or complete lack of understanding on my part). We didn't meet again, and with hindsight that was probably better.

GG sauna (Grey Gym Fitness Center)

(Full name: Grey Gym Fitness Center)
จีจี 1155/1 Soi Ronnachai 2, 1155/1 ซอยรณชัย 2,

13°46'39.6"N 100°31'48.9"E 13.777663, 100.530242
about 200 m by air south of Sam Saen สามแสน railway station (east of the railway tracks).
The only sauna I know that can best be accessed by train, I paid 2 or 20 Baht for ticket to/from Hua Lampong (15 minutes travel time), depending on train. My cheapest trip by public transport, 2 Baht! Several bus lines pass nearby.

Entry 170 Baht, Thursday 99 Baht. Every Friday free food.

Large locker, two big towels of good quality. All customers wrapped in towel. One cute staff.

Ground floor reception, locker room, group shower (cold water, shower gel), library, area with a transparent plastic roof (allows daylight to come in; this area is used for smoking despite not being open to atmosphere), sauna, steam room (both large and hot), restaurant/karaoke, free soft drinks, lounge decorated with antique furniture and porcelain, two large flat screens (in different rooms) with TV program, porn room.

Upstairs private rooms.

Overall, it’s labyrinthine and there are different floor levels.

The library has gay magazines dating back to mid 1990s, pre-internet and pre-mobile phone time, with gays looking for penpals (there were posts by 15 and 17 year old boys looking for a penpal, specifying sexual position!). Unless there is a year on the cover or in the editorial, it’s difficult to guess when the magazine was published.

First visit Friday 06.03.2015
Enter 16:55. Number of customers between 20 and 30 estimated. Leave 18:25.

Second visit Sunday 08.03.2015
Enter 16:50. Estimated over 50 customers. Two cute boys fully dressed around (in addition to one cute staff, same as last time). Tame cat at reception. Leave 18:05.

I was the only Farang on both visits. Staff and customers welcoming, unfortunately the customer base is not what I’m looking for, all too old and/or too fat.

Wrongly reported closed on travelgayasia. (Is there a scaremonger around?)

Shanghai Free Trade shopping center

Shanghai Free Trade shopping center

I learnt of this place here:
A delightful mess of discoveries await in odd Prachautit shopping mall
seminal article in Thai:
ช่วยด้วยค่ะ ห้างแถวบ้านโดนซอมบี้บุก : unseen shopping in bkk

Open Wed-Sun 10:00-20:00, closed Mon Tue.

13°39'05.7"N 100°30'18.5"E 13.651589, 100.505140
Pracha Uthit (Ratburana ราษฎร์บูรณะ) Soi 33 (= Soi Wichian ซอยวิเชียร) Yaek 6 (actually between Yaek 6 and 8, over 100m from the road sign for soi 6, I had to ask for the way) ซอยประชาอุทิศ 33 แยก 6.

There are several Pracha Uthit in Bangkok, hence specifying the district (Ratburana ราษฎร์บูรณะ) is necessary. The shopping center is in neighboring Thung Khru district ทุ่งครุ.

Bus 195 from Rama 3 to Suksawat สุขสวัสดิ์, then bus 75 to Pracha Uthit Soi 33, from there walk (12:45-58) to Srithai Apartment ศรีไทยอพาร์ตเมนท์. Entrance arc:

I spotted two songtheo lines that run past:
green line 33 (or 1405?)

7/11 branch 3891 (ศรีไทยคอนโด) is right to entrance arc. Walk through the arc, pass Tesco Lotus express (branch 204 ประชาอุทิศ33) and turn left at 7/11 branch 6821 (ประชาอุทิศ33แยก8).

The round sign says:
เซี่ยงไฮ้ ฟรีเทรด ถูกจนตลึง
Shanghai Free Trade surprisingly cheap

I went with a Farang friend who knows prices from 7/11 and shopping malls, he says the stuff (bathroom and kitchen articles, beer and wine) is about 10% cheaper.

2nd floor is all books, 9 Baht each. I found some (17) guidebooks or maps that I bought.

Climbing up, it gets messier and fewer customers, from 3rd floor just me and friend:

6th floor is empty:

Verdict: spectacular! A messie's or hoarder's wet dream, feels like home, but on a bigger scale.

There were some people packing and moving stuff, I don't know if the place will be around for longer.

Return walk to Sukswat (via Suksawat Soi 64, thereby crossing into Samut Prakarn province) 15:09-44, then take bus 195 to Klong Toey.

Similar unconventional shopping centers are Nightingale Olympic department store (I have been in 2013, no post; "Bangkok off the grid" page 123) and second hand goods at Wat Suan Kaew Nonthaburi http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2014/11/wat-suan-kaew-in-nonthaburi-province.html and "Bangkok off the grid" page 111.

Update Nov 2015: friend went, it's still open.
