Wat Phuttha Nimit in Saraburi

Wat Phuttha Nimit in Saraburi

Right next to (North of) highway 2, and I drove past many times on the way to Korat, now finally time to stop and take some pictures.

Interesting parts are the Ubosot in unusual architectural style and a chedi with a spire that is inspired by Eiffel tower.

Incription: มหาธรรมเจดีย์ (บรมสารีริกธาตุ) แห่งแรกของประเทศไทย เจดีย์สอนธรรม
Transkription/Translation: Maha Thamma Chedi (Boromasari Riga That) The first in Thailand (the first of what? An educated Thai friend has no idea.) Chedi Son Tham.

Ubosot  looks more like a Greek temple or a church:

Thanks to a Farang friend for aerial pictures by drone.

Address from google maps: Wat Phuttha Nimit วัดพุทธนิมิต
151, O Bo Cho Mu 6 Rd, Tambon Mittaphap, Amphoe Muak Lek, Chang Wat Saraburi 18180 151, ถนน องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัด หมู่ 6 ตำบลมิตรภาพ อำเภอมวกเหล็ก สระบุรี 18180

There is another, more famous, Wat Phuttha Nimit in Kalasin.
