Blued seemed to be the most popular. Furthermore, I paid for a Blued / HeeSay subscription to view unlimited profiles. All online dating done on Blued. I go online to set my location to Mumbai and a few hours later I have messages from about 10 profiles. Certainly busy, more/faster messages than anywhere else except maybe Pattaya.

One of my aspirations in life was to get a haircut for less than 1 EUR or 1 USD. In Thailand I didn't find anywhere cheaper than 70 THB, in Cambodia 1.25 USD. But here in Mumbai I can get a haircut for 70 INR and a shave for 40 INR! Two weeks later in Delhi even cheaper: 50 + 30.
I have a haircut and shave for 70 + 40 INR, takes 25 min. Includes a good head and neck and shoulder massage. I don't feel any cut while he shaves me, only after rubbing an alum stone afterwards some spots light burning.
There is/was an infamous red light area Kamathipura in Mumbai, but I didn't find any recent reports on the internet, and it didn't fit in space and time to go for a recce without any information.

Go online and for 6 minutes straight answer messages. I.e. messages come in faster than I can read and answer. Even though none is my type, engage in chat for research purposes. After 6 minutes it ebbs down and I'm exhausted and put down my phone.

Blued busy here as well, a lot of profiles stats 65 kg 172 cm. I didn't do a statistic by plotting weight and height, just a feeling that 65 kg 172 cm is over-represented. A default setting or miscalculation from imperial (India still uses imperial system for weights and lengths). In Cambodia as well I noticed profiles 65 kg 172cm where a look at the body clearly says this can't be.
Many fake profile pictures, or no picture at all. Many requests to see my private pictures. Videochat with one okay body, but face unattractive.
I have seen enough to stop all online dating as a complete waste of time. Anyway, none of the hotel rooms I have been in so far were of a size and standard that I could comfortably do something. Here some screenshots to show my readers what's available: fat men, hairy men, fat and hairy men.

The head massage I got with my haircut in Mumbai was good, go to a hairdresser for a head massage.
200 INR for head massage 15 min with oil (cooling sensation), and several times sprays water on my head. Lets oil soak in for 2 minutes, then start massage 20:22. Mostly quick hammering movements with fingers soso, a few times circling with thumb or pressing and moving palm good. Use of electrical massage gun. Afterwards asks if I want a face massage, 20 min 300 INR, I agree. Puts lotion on my face and lets it dry in long time. Then sprays water several times on face. Massage short, soso. Asks if I want shoulder massage, I decline, too late and so far underwhelming.
Overall a waste of time and money, but try again in Delhi. People come to Agra once in their life, to view the Taj Mahal. Everything in Agra (hotels, restaurants, the head massage) has that attitude: people come anyway, and they come only once.
There is an Indian head massage (with oil, as described above) in Bangkok in Tivoli Hotel. A Farang friend likes it and on his recommendation I tried as well but found it underwhelming (both in Bangkok 2018 and in Agra 2024).

1k INR (that's 11 EUR or 450 THB, expensive) entry Hammam Sauna and Spa 17:35-18:11. They have combo packages with massage, but not cheap. Locker room with 70 lockers, good light. Get locker 37, high up, I would need a chair to reach it, they give me key for 21 which is lower.
Warm steam room can sit 5 and stand 5, only stray light. Jacuzzi can sit 5. No sauna. 3 showers with doors and one open, hot water. A dark room and a lounge (bench and two beds). There are two customers in steam room who touch me and I return the favor, to find out that both have hairy butt cheeks. Spot several of their massage staff, all average looking. A total waste of time and money, but that was expected, and now I can say I have been to a gay sauna in India.

Have a look at price list of a general massage parlor, starting from 60 min 2500 INR (that's 28 EUR or 1100 THB, expensive) and and more expensive courses. No possible gain in knowledge can justify that expense, I will pass.
At a hairdresser, get back and shoulder massage 200 for 15 min, followed by face massage 300 for 20 min. Back and shoulder good, caterpillar technique and electrical massage device. Face massage first defoliating agent ? and then moisturizing ? gets in hair, over eyes, over mouth. With fingers and electrical massage device, over head and ears as well. Overall interesting. I would do a head massage without oil, as I got after haircut, and back and shoulder massage again.

General notes and summary
On social media and walking through the streets in India some clear hits, but on online dating all too old, too fat, too hairy for my taste. I didn't see any money boys or get any offers for massage or other services.
Most profiles don't have a picture at all, or picture is not of a person, or that person is not profile owner. When stats are good (e.g. 22 years, 50 kg, 172 cm), I ask for their picture, and in all cases picture did not match stats. The problem with profiles without picture, or fake picture, or no clear face pictures worse than anywhere else. From chatting I assume that everyone assumes the picture in profile is not the profile owner. Many asked for my private pictures or for my face picture, that means they assume my pictures are fake as well. When they send their pictures, usually 5 seconds to view before auto-delete, but I need just 200 milliseconds.
Once you chat with someone, or even without replying to their message, they can be persistent, sending multiple messages in a short time. On a positive note, I guess that setting up a date would be straightforward. Everyone I chatted with seemed eager to meet. Whereas in Thailand it can drag out because the other is online but doesn't read or not reply to my messages, or goes offline just when I thought we are setting up a date.
In brief, India was the most active, but the least productive on Blued.
On a positive note, in public I saw some slim brown guys. In general nice haircuts (short on back and side which I like, and in particular general short hair and none of the middle part hair that is currently popular in Thailand and Cambodia and which I don't like at all). A style of trousers black with white seams which I find attractive.
Most underwear I saw not attractive to me. Sometimes fancifully called “gents undergarments”.
I saw a few ladyboys (called Hijra or third gender in India). The situation of women in India must be pretty dire. There are special carriages in metro for women only. Years ago, there were several deadly group rape incidents, to which the government responded with a nightly curfew for women (!!!). Acid attacks are a problem as well.
