It seems scheduled buses/vans are in the morning 7-8 and again at night. During day only shared taxis. Settle for VET (bus, staff speak good English and can give clear information).

Angkorean Bridges
Several bridges from the Angkorean Empire are extant and have been in use until recently. Now they are for mocy and pedestrians only, and bypass bridges for cars.
Kampong Kdei Bridge = Spean Praptos 13.1266, 104.3392

The longest corbeled stone-arch bridge in the world 87 m (check on google maps satellite view: 85 m from Naga to Naga). North of hwy6, can be spotted between trees from bus or car when driving between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.
The view above is the same as on older (still in circulation) 5000 Riel notes.
Spean Toap 13.9044, 103.5318
In Oddar Meanchchay province, west of hwy 68, on the way to O'Smach border crossing. Check on google maps satellite view: 144 m, but start and end not clear. So this would be the longest corbeled arch bridge in the world. Have to measure length next time I pass.

Dozens of small bridges
On the way from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, I noticed several small Angkorean bridges, all north of hwy6. Look closely at google maps and you will notice that the road used to lead over the bridge (one lane), but now the hwy (two lanes) makes a bypass. Most have no name, Ta Meas Bridge is an exception.

Anlong Veng Attractions
Daytrip from Siem Reap to Anlong Veng with rented car and driver (7 am - 7 pm, about 280 km good road and 15 km poor road, 100 USD). It took us 2 h 30 min from Siem Reap to Anlong Veng town.
It would be cheaper to get to Anlong Veng by bus or shared taxi, but travel times inconvenient and I would have to stay one or two nights and would have to hire mocy taxi to continue trip.
There is poor mobile network, no signal most of the time and I could navigate only because I had satellite image in my phone's cache from Siem Reap.

Entry 1.50 USD. It says cremation site, but the grave has shape and size of a coffin.
From here on eastward poor road, average speed with car 11 km/h.

There is so much to see between Bangkok and Pattaya, but you need a private car to access those places. A while ago I had an interesting chat with a Bangkok taxi driver and today I rent him for a day to take me from Bangkok to Pattaya and stop at some places.

And in addition to that, subjects I don't want to talk about. Boring/exhausting but great blogging material.
Very observant (stuff in my room, my activities), or nosy? Asks for reasons/explanation. “What are you doing?”, “What are you looking at?”. Reminds me of a boy in Sihanoukville, whom I labelled "inquisitive-intrusive”.
Can't do anything for my blog or forums, he would be behind me staring at the screen and asking what I'm doing and what this is.
Asks a lot, but can be classified as “emotional garbage” or “unproductive questions” (i.e. no gain in knowledge): why are you smiling, why are you not horny? (I had similar stupid questions before: why do you have white skin?)

Flight to Vietnam or to Cambodia?
Hours later solution: my friend was at exit 1 and messed up the exits. Here we have experimental proof that such things do not only happen to Thais: wrong exit (I have it in written that he sent me exit 4, but was waiting at exit 1) and not having a look at your phone when you have a date with someone, but the person is not there.
