Last time I was at these gates, there were people standing and sitting on the now vast empty floor because all seats were occupied.

Sat21mar2020 Khao San Road
On previous visits music was unbearable, but now only a few venues playing music at a low level. Number of customers significantly lower than in the past. (Side note: new road and sidewalk surface being laid.)

Entertainment electronics section is closed.

These people are queuing for a delivery of face masks at the pharmacy at the end of the aisle.

I have never seen Makro that full on a Tuesday afternoon. You had to wait for a shopping trolley. But on the weekend back to normal.

Moon House Restaurant (opposite Ibis parking), like any other restaurant from 22mar2020 on, only take out. Many places offer 20% discount. No more eating in restaurant.

ChristianPFC returns to Germany. Reporting from Thailand ends (but I have a backlog of data that will take months to process and post).

For health reasons it makes no difference if I stay in Bangkok or Germany, you could even argue that the trip to Germany poses a risk. But with everything closed in Thailand, it's no fun anymore. And in Germany, I don't need aircon, don't have to spend money on visa/permission to stay/extension, my mother is a good cook.

I wish all my readers to get through this Coronavirus pandemic unharmed.
