There are currently 5 second hand bookshops in Pattaya that I know of: Canterbury Tales, Jagger's German Bookshop, J&K Books, Pattaya Second Hand Books, Star Books, and White Lotus in Huay Yai.
Over the years (2014-2016) I have been to all of them. Addresses and phone numbers from their websites or business cards.

J&K Books have moved a few times: there was a shop about 100 m east of Dolphin roundabout where I have been in 2012 and which then closed, a shop in Photisan road in Naklua where I went around 2014 only to find out that they moved again, and there was a branch near Dolphin Roundabout (south-west corner, just behind the restaurant in the open space) that was closed when I went (and is gone now, information from owner 8dec2016).

I know of two in Jomtien, 1 is on Beach road Soi 2 (It used to be on Soi 3 but moved to a similar position on Soi 2) and the other on Soi Chaiyapruek.---------------------
There is a second hand book shop on Chiaprook Rd. From Sukhumvit
drive down towards the beach, past the new Harley place on the RHS and
500m before the sea its on your LHS.

Thais4life Soi VC closed for good in 2015 (?). I saw many of their books at Second Hand Books shortly after closing.
Do my readers know better? I will look for those I haven't been yet and update.

ReplyDeletej & k books is selling a part of its used books at Foodmart in Jomtien, Thappraya Road, next to the point where the bus to BKK Airport starts. German books are sold for 100 Baht.

ReplyDeleteCurrently there seem to be no second hand book shops in Pattaya except CT about which dissatisfaction has been expressed. There is a properly run second hand book shop in Bangkok near soi 22
