The most famous (?) waterfall in Thailand, has been on my list for a while, time to go as long as it's still rainy season.
From Kanchanaburi bus station, line 8170 goes to Erawan Waterfall (but some 8170 buses go elsewhere, destination is written in Thai on the bus), schedule from Kanchanaburi bus station: 8:00, 9:15, 10:30, 11:40, 13:30, 15:00, 16:20, 17:40. Last bus from Erawan to K is 16:00. Distance 65 km, price 50 Baht, duration about 2 hours.
I am at the bus station around 9 am, the bus is full, I can sit on the stairs, but have to relinquish my "seat" after half an hour when even more passengers board, then stand half an hour and get a seat for the rest of the trip (9:12-10:57). At the national park entrance, an officer enters the bus and sells tickets (200 Baht).
Announcement in the national park: Current entrance fee Thai child 20, adult 40, Foreigner child 100, adult 200; from 01.02.2015 50 / 100 / 200 / 300.
The national park is popular with Farang, mainly Russian and French, I heard English and German language spoken as well.
I'ts about 1.5 km to the highest level, which took me about 2 hours (11 am - 1 pm).
Fish massage included:
The following three pictures are taken at the highest level, subsequent pictures returning to low level.
