Suan Mokkh in Surat Thani province

Suan Mokkh in Surat Thani province

Full name: Suan Mokkhapalaram สวนโมกข์พลาราม, nearby is Wat Than Nam Lai วัดธารน้ำไหล.

(idh = International Dharma Hermitage)

Location (entrance gate):
Surat Thani province , Chaiya district.
Directions and public transport:

I took van from Surat Thani to Chaiya and got off at Suan Mokh. Continuation of trip was not easy, had to wait one hour for van from Surat Thani to Chaiya to get to Chaiya.

Entrance gate on hwy 11 is distinctly Art Deco, so are many of the buildings inside:

Main building (Theatre of spiritual enlightenment, โรงมหรสพทางวิญญาณ):

with a large mural mosaic (God passing enlightenment?):

There are similar mosaics or drawings elsewhere in Thailand:
Wat Suan Kaew in Nonthaburi and Wat Thung Setthi in Chaiyaphum (I've been there myself, no post yet). These look ancient egypt (with stone-age drawings in the upper right), but what is their origin?

update: one more in Phichit province
วัดศรีสุทธาราม อ.สามง่าม จ.พิจิตร
Interior, unconventional mural paintings and old photographs:

"Miss Hook" นางเบ็ด (explanation in Thai on the reverse, I didn't take picture, but there is one on the internet:

Exterior decorated with terracotta:
