Wat Pak Nam Phasicharoen

Wat Pak Nam Phasicharoen

วัดปากน้ำภาษีเจริญ meaning: the wat at the beginning (mouth) of Phasicharoen canal. The white chedi (Maharatchamongkol Great Pagoda พระมหาเจดีย์มหาราชมงคล) is big and easily visible from Phetkasem road ถนนเพชรเกษม (hwy 4) or BTS stations Talat Phlu ตลาดพบู Wuttakat วุฒากาศ Bang Wa บางหว้า.

Best accessible from BTS Wuttakat วุฒากาศ (about 1 km by air) or bus 4 (goes along Rama 4 road, passes Hua Lampong หัวลำโพง, final stop about 500 m walk from the wat). There is a canal boat service along Phasicharoen canal from the wat to Phetkasem soi 69, details see here:
or advertising at the wat and in BTS stations.

The temple complex covers a large area:

The white chedi, the peg for my visit:

Four floors are accessible:

Fourth floor contains a giant miniature (oxymoron alert!) green glass replica of the chedi:

On 4th floor you can walk around outside and enjoy view over Wat Pak Nam Phasicharoen

and nearby Wat Khun Chan วัดขุนจันทร์ = Wat Waramathayaphanthasaram วัดวรามาตยภัณฑสาราม:
